This handcrafted ME Doll is marked with an X to symbolize love meeting a boundary, a ban, or society’s scarlet letter. Focusing on the kinds of love people still try to cross out, interracial, same-sex, interfaith, cross-cultural, May-December, and socioeconomic relationships, Star-Crossed Love Affair™ challenges the idea that certain loves are somehow less worthy.

Some loves are called star-crossed, but not because the stars rejected them. Because people did.

As a ME Doll, she sits within the larger conversation of Mitochondrial Eve, the Mother of Humanity. If we all come from one mother, shouldn’t every love story deserve to be told?
