Mitochondrial Eve's Primitive Line is Mama Doll's artistic imagining of what jewelery artisans some two hundred thousand years ago, during the life and times of Eve, might have handcrafted from the simple elements Earth provided. Copper is at its heart not only for elemental beauty, but for its relationship with melanin. Copper is essential to a key biological process that produces melanin. That connection between copper and pigmentation in our skin, eyes and hair gives the material special meaning in the story of ME. The pieces are purposely simple, handmade, textured.
